Lions Industries for the Blind, Inc. in Kinston, NC, is seeking legally blind and blind employees to help us fulfill government and military contracts.
Where the work is on the plant floor
Textiles department
Operator positions are periodically available in our Textiles department (sewing, manual & automated machine work, etc.)
This is where the cotton goods are sewn: mailing bags, cleaning swabs and manual cases for the General Services Administration and DLA.
Military Embroidery department
Operators in our Military Embroidery department (need usable vision) run embroidery machines, as well as specialized fusing and velcro equipment.
Embroidered for
Name and service tapes for the Air Force at Lackland and for the Marine Corps through DLA Troop Support.
Office staff
We have an office staff with varying skill levels and specific areas of expertise are required.
